A new cable break is suspected to have occurred in the Baltic Sea.
A preliminary investigation into sabotage has been initiated.
"We are aware of the case, we are monitoring the situation and are cooperating with the relevant authorities," the police write.

"We are aware of the information about a cable break. However, we refer questions to the Coast Guard," the Armed Forces write in an email.
A preliminary investigation into sabotage has been initiated.
“The police authority has opened a preliminary investigation into a suspected cable break in the Baltic Sea, Baltic Sea within the Swedish economic zone. The preliminary investigation into sabotage was opened so that the police can have access to the tools needed to clarify what happened,” the police write in an email.
“We are cooperating with the relevant authorities and have no further information to share at this time.”

Kristersson: Serious security situation
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson comments on it.
“We take all information about possible damage to infrastructure in the Baltic Sea very seriously. As I said earlier, they must be seen in light of the serious security situation that prevails,” he writes on X – while participating in a debate in the Riksdag.
