Lula takes a dig at Trump: “I have more important things to do”

Brazilian President Lula da Silva does not want to comment on Trump’s statement that former President Jair Bolsonaro is innocent. At a press conference, Lula says that he “has more important things to do,” Reuters reports.

At the same time, he still takes a dig at Trump without mentioning him by name. The government will not allow interference in Brazilian affairs from any outsider, according to Lula.

In a long statement on Truth Social, the American president writes that Bolsonaro has been the victim of a witch hunt.

"Leave Bolsonaro alone!" he writes.

Trump believes that Bolsonaro is innocent and praises him as a "strong leader who loved his country."
