Maxwell wants to be pardoned - told "everything" in the new Epstein interrogations
The question is what? About whom? And what does Maxwell get in return?
- A lot of people ask me about pardons, here and now it is obviously not the time to talk about pardons, Trump tells CNN.
On Friday, Trump's personal lawyer Todd Blanche held cross-examination for the second day in a row with the dead pedophile Epstein's right-hand man, Ghislaine Maxwell.
Many are wondering what Maxwell is after, who is appearing for questioning despite already being sentenced to 20 years in prison for human trafficking, among other things.
Last week, she also had her clemency application rejected by the Trump administration.
A first reward seems to have been handed over after Thursday's six-hour mangling.
When she left the interrogation room, she was seen carrying a large white box with secret contents.
Didn't hold back
Yesterday, Maxwell's lawyer was tight-lipped. He only said that his client answered all questions to the best of his ability, and that they were grateful for the meeting with Blanche, who is now deputy attorney general. After Friday's approximately three-hour interrogation in Tallahassee, Florida, lawyer David O. Markus was more outspoken.
– They asked about just about everything imaginable, everything, he tells CNN.
Markus estimates that she answered questions about “100 different people”.
– She didn’t hold back anything at all, he says, adding that she didn’t avoid answering a single question during the nine hours of questioning.
– The truth will come out about what happened to Epstein, and she is the person who answers those questions, Markus tells CNN.
Documented liar
Critics are concerned that Trump will use Maxwell to cover up what is in the Epstein documents, in exchange for a pardon.– She is a documented liar, she has clearly caused enormous harm to young girls and obviously has an interest in being free, Democrat and Congressman Robert Garcia told the Independent on Thursday.
Party colleague Jasmine Crocket agreed.
– Quite frankly, if this means she is participating in a cover-up, he will probably let her out of prison. He has let people out of prison for much less, she tells The Independent.
Does not rule out pardon
President Trump does not rule out pardoning Maxwell when he speaks to the press during a state visit to Scotland on Friday evening.– A lot of people ask me about pardons, here and now is obviously not the time to talk about pardons, Trump tells CNN and adds:
– I have the right to do that, but it is not something I have thought about.

Exploited minors
According to ABC News, Maxwell was granted temporary immunity during the hearings, so that she could tell everything she knows without it later being used against her.Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022, including for human trafficking by providing Epstein with underage teenage girls who he abused.
Maxwell has always maintained her innocence.
