Democrats Want Epstein's Birthday Album
House Democrats are trying to get their hands on the much-hyped birthday album made for Jeffrey Epstein's 50th birthday in 2003, Axios reports.
Congressmen Ro Khanna and Robert Garcia have written to lawyers for Epstein's estate asking for a "complete, unredacted copy" of the album. They say it would be much harder to get the book if it ended up in the hands of the Justice Department.
This week, the Wall Street Journal reported that Donald Trump was one of the powerful friends who wrote a greeting for the album, a cartoon of a naked woman. Trump has denied this, responding with a multimillion-dollar lawsuit.
The information ties Trump closer to Epstein at a time when he wants to distance himself from the sex offender, who died in a Manhattan jail in 2019.
Maxwell told "everything" about "over 100 people" in interrogation
During her interrogation with US Justice Department prosecutors, Jeffrey Epstein's former associate Ghislaine Maxwell told "everything" about "over 100 people" around Epstein. This is what her lawyer David Markus told several media outlets.
Maxwell was questioned for nine hours over two days in Florida, where she is in prison. Sources tell ABC that in exchange for the information, she was promised immunity and that what she says cannot be used against her.
"She didn't hold back anything," says David Markus, who has previously been tight-lipped about the interrogations.
Ghislaine Maxwell was charged and convicted of human trafficking after transporting underage girls to Jeffrey Epstein, where they were later sexually exploited.
Politico has previously written that the Maxwell hearings are a move by the Trump administration to show outraged voters that they want to find out as much as possible about the investigation.
