A car has driven into a crowd in Los Angeles, writes the Los Angeles emergency services in a press release.
At least 30 people are reported to have been injured, several of them seriously. The situation is described as life-threatening for three of them and seven have serious injuries, writes TT.
The incident is said to have occurred in the East Hollywood district.
The driver was shot after driving into the crowd
The police in Los Angeles suspect that the man who injured 30 people by driving into a crowd in the city on Saturday did it intentionally, reports the Washington Post.
After the incident, passersby allegedly pulled the driver out of the car, after which he was beaten by several people and then shot by an individual. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries and is expected to undergo surgery.
The incident occurred outside a nightclub where the driver had allegedly been arguing with several people. Local police officer Horacio Aguirre says that after the argument at the club, the man “for some reason decided to run over the people on the sidewalk.”
