“Gangster granny” ruled British drug empire

Deborah Mason, 65, was sentenced on Friday to 20 years in prison for running an extensive drug empire in England. She recruited her four children, her sister and other close relatives to the gang, the BBC and several other media outlets report.

Deborah Mason was known in the family as “Gangsta Debbs” and “Queen Bee”, while the police and media have called her “Gangster granny”, i.e. “gangster granny”.

In total, the family imported almost a ton of cocaine at a street price of 80 million pounds, just over one billion kronor, according to the prosecutor. The money went to a luxurious and extravagant lifestyle. Mason bought several Gucci items for her cat, among other things.

Mason and seven other family members were arrested after the British police monitored the family for seven months. All receive long prison sentences.

Report on Skepticism in the US: “Something New Every Day”

There is growing skepticism towards Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu within the White House, American sources tell Axios.

The background is said to be Israel’s bombings in Syria earlier this week and the attack on a Catholic church in Gaza. The latter attack prompted Donald Trump to call Netanyahu and demand an explanation. One source says there is concern that Israel’s actions are undermining what Trump is “trying to do” in the Middle East.

– The feeling is that there is something new every day.

Trump’s USA Jeffrey Epstein case
Troll accounts on X expose cracks in the Maga movement

Researchers at Clemson University have discovered a network of hundreds of bot accounts on X that spread positive messages about Donald Trump’s administration. But a series of posts in recent days show the division in the Maga movement that has occurred after the tangle surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, writes NBC.

The accounts use artificial intelligence and make automated comments on posts from conservative users. But the messages no longer follow a common thread. While one account supports Attorney General Pam Bondi, another says that “Trump and his cronies are lying.”

It is unclear what instructions the AI accounts received, but the head of research at the analysis firm Alethea says they may have been trained on posts from profiles within the Maga movement.

– And that the change reflects the general change in tone among many of Trump’s supporters
