Middle East Crisis Protests

Real estate billionaire: “Israelis are behaving like Satan’s lackeys”

Real estate billionaire Roger Akelius will use money from share sales in the company Castellum to donate to projects in Palestine, reports Affärsvärlden. In a written interview with the newspaper, he launches a harsh attack on Israel.

“Tents, materials and food are being stopped by Jewish mass murderers. Palestinians will starve,” he writes to the business newspaper and continues:

“Israelis are not behaving like God’s chosen people but like Satan’s lackeys,” he continues.

Castellum’s outgoing chairman Louise Richnau has read the quotes, but chooses not to comment, according to the newspaper.

Earlier this morning, news broke that Akelius is planning to sell his shares in Castellum.

In an interview with Dagens ETC in November, Akelius said that Hamas should be called “freedom fighters.”

Akelius' Gaza speech receives criticism: "Pure anti-Semitism"

Real estate billionaire Roger Akelius is receiving harsh criticism after his statements about Israel's warfare in Gaza yesterday. This is reported by Affärsvärlden.

"Pure anti-Semitism," writes Daniel Leviathan, a doctoral student in Jewish studies at Lund University, on X about Akelius' use of words such as "Jewish mass murderers" and "Satan's lackeys."

Ulrika Knutsson, chairwoman of the Swedish Committee Against Anti-Semitism, describes Akelius' statement to Affärsvärlden as "flagrant and sad."

"The proportion who use the debate about Israel and Gaza as an outlet for prejudice and hatred against Jews is growing," Knutsson writes on the committee's website.

Akelius' statement about the war in Gaza was made in connection with his declaration of his intention to sell shares in Castellum to donate money to various Palestinian projects.
