The cryptocurrency bitcoin reached a peak last night.

The price was at $124,500.

The cryptocurrency bitcoin is climbing.

Last night, the currency's value hit a record, according to Reuters.

It is the second time in a short time that bitcoin has reached a peak this year, when the price briefly exceeded $124,500, just over 1.2 million kronor.

The previous record for bitcoin was reported to be in mid-July this year. At that time, the price was around $123,000.

The currency's climb began in November last year. This was after Donald Trump, who has a friendly attitude towards crypto in his politics, won the US presidential election.
