"Can achieve peace"
Trump continued to express optimism about the possibilities for peace, saying that everyone - including Putin - wants to end the war.
- We can achieve peace. I have no doubt about it, he said, but added that it has been more difficult than he had previously thought.
He was also asked if the United States might send troops to Ukraine.
- We will come back to that, maybe even later today, the American president replied.

Will call Putin
Donald Trump says he will call Putin again after today's meeting and adds that the war will continue if it does not lead to a meeting with Putin and Ukraine.
Trump did not want to answer who is responsible for making peace.
He continued to emphasize that it is "Biden's war." He was then asked what he wanted to say to the Ukrainian people.
- I have known many people from Ukraine over the years. I love the Ukrainian people. I love everyone, I love the Russian people. I want peace, he says
