Meeting on Iran's program underway: "Time is running out"

The foreign ministers of France, Britain and Germany have had a telephone conversation with Iranian representatives about Tehran's nuclear energy program, writes French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot in a post on X.

EU Foreign Affairs Chief Kaja Kallas also participated, and the plan is for a meeting to be held next week.

"Time is running out," writes Barrot, who threatens to reimpose sanctions on the country.

Denmark abolishes tax on coffee and sweets

The Danish government is abolishing the tax on coffee, chocolate and sweets, Danish media reports. The justification for this is that food prices have skyrocketed and that the taxes are administratively cumbersome. The proposal is that it should be permanent.

- It will give the Danes more money to spare, says Economy Minister Stephanie Lose, who represents the liberal party Venstre.

According to TV2, experts are critical, and believe that it is negative for public health.

Hungary addresses EU and US about oil cut

Hungary and Slovakia are reacting with anger after Ukraine attacked an oil pipeline in Russian Druzhba, thereby stopping supplies to the countries. According to AFP, they have addressed the EU and in a letter urged the Union to “act against Ukraine’s repeated attacks” on the pipeline.

“Such attacks are a direct and unacceptable attack on our energy security,” writes Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto in a post on X.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán states that he has addressed US President Donald Trump in the hope of getting the Ukrainian attacks to stop.

This is the third time in a short time that supplies to Hungary have been cut. Ukraine has previously responded by pointing out that the war was started by Russia. 

Tourists in bus accident in New York – several people dead

Several people have died and several have been injured after a tourist bus ran off the road in the state of New York in the United States, writes CNN. Children are among the dead.

According to police, an unknown number of people are currently trapped inside the bus, and it is hoped that they can be brought out alive.

The tourists were reportedly on their way back to New York City after visiting Niagara Falls. It is unclear what caused the bus to run off the road.
