New attacks in southern Lebanon – several killed
At least four people have been killed in new Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon. Israel accuses the Shiite militia Hezbollah of sending drones against Israeli forces.
Four people have been killed and several injured in Israeli airstrikes in the Nabatieh district, according to information from the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
According to information to the Lebanese newspaper L'Orient-Le Jour, a hospital has been destroyed in al-Fawqa. Patients and staff were not in the hospital building at the time of the attack, the newspaper writes.
An evacuation order was issued by Israel for a specific neighborhood in a village in the same area.
The Israeli military justified the attacks with information that Iran-backed Hezbollah had sent drones against Israeli ground forces in the area that Israel designates as a “security zone.” No Israeli soldiers were reportedly harmed.
