Attack Night: Iran Strikes American Drone

The fighting in the Strait of Hormuz has continued overnight, writes Al Jazeera. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps says it has attacked a US Navy drone, which allegedly "attempted to enter the protected area in the Strait of Hormuz".

The attack is described as a revenge attack after yesterday's fighting. On Saturday, Iranian missiles attacked two US patrol boats in the Strait of Hormuz. The US responded by "permanently disabling" three Iranian oil tankers, according to the US military command Centcom.

Iran: Has attacked six ships in revenge

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps has attacked several ships in revenge for this morning's US attacks, they say according to AFP.

According to a statement, it concerns “three oil tankers in the unauthorized waterway in the Strait of Hormuz and three ships linked to the child-murdering US in other areas”.

The US has not commented on the information. Earlier on Saturday, the US military fired on three Iranian oil tankers, which in turn was in retaliation for an Iranian attack on two of its warships.

The war has escalated again after the US fired on two Iranian launch pads on Monday, which was preceded by a month without attacks.
