Seven-hour queue for King Harald's coffin
Norway is mourning the late monarch King Harald – and it is evident from the more than one-kilometre-long queue for the coffin in the palace chapel in Oslo.
The Norwegian court has extended visiting hours for the public mourning King Harald and who want to pay their respects at the coffin in the palace chapel. They are holding extra evening hours until 11pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
At lunchtime on Saturday, the queue was around 1.2 kilometres long and the waiting time around seven hours, NTB reports from the scene.
King Harald will be buried on 9 September in Oslo Cathedral.
Sweden's King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia, along with several others from the Swedish royal family, will travel there to attend the funeral.
