Driver has driven into people in Stuttgart – eight injured
A driver has driven into a crowd in the German city of Stuttgart, the local police said in a statement. Several people have been hit and according to the police, several are seriously injured. At eight o'clock a press spokesperson told the Stuttgarter Zeitung that a total of eight people were injured.
A large police operation is underway at the scene and the driver of the car has been arrested. At the moment it is considered to be a traffic accident, writes the Stuttgart police on X.

Strong earthquake off Chile and Argentina
A strong earthquake occurred off the southern coasts of Chile and Argentina on Friday. According to the US Geological Survey, the quake had a magnitude of 7.4. The epicenter was around 220 kilometers from the Argentine city of Ushuaia.
The authorities in Chile issued a tsunami warning after the quake, but so far no damage has been reported after the earthquake.

53-year-old man from Thailand dies of anthrax
A Thai man has died of anthrax. It is the first death in the country in over 30 years, reports AFP. The man is believed to have been infected by a dead cow near Laos. Another case has been confirmed in the country.
