Russian invasion The world's response

Denmark allows Ukrainian weapons production in the country

Ukraine and Denmark have signed a new agreement that allows Ukrainian defense companies to start weapons production on Danish soil, several media outlets report.

Ukrainian Minister Herman Smetanin, who visited Denmark on Friday, states that this is the first time that the country has exported defense technology with the aim of strengthening Ukraine's defense forces.

- It is a unique example of international cooperation for the Ukrainian defense industry, he says.

The Danish newspaper Berlingske writes that the Danish Export and Investment Fund EIFO will also invest tens of millions of kronor in Ukrainian startups with a focus on defense technology. Minister of Industry and Trade Morten Bødskov says that Denmark's support for Ukraine is unwavering.

Zelenskyj: The conversation with Trump is the best so far

Volodymyr Zelenskyj is, to say the least, satisfied with Friday's phone call with US President Donald Trump.

– It was probably the best conversation we have had in this time, the most productive, he says in his daily address to the nation that he published on social media.

According to the Ukrainian president, the leaders talked about, among other things, Patriot air defense missiles. After the conversation, Trump was asked about the Patriot system and whether the United States plans to send it to Ukraine.

– They will need something because they are taking quite a beating, the president replied, according to Reuters.

In the speech, Zelensky also thanked Sweden for a new aid package that he believes the country has decided to send.

Russian anger – paint attack on diplomatic building

On Saturday night, the Russian trade representation on Lidingö was subjected to a paint attack, writes the Russian embassy in Stockholm.

According to the embassy, the paint was released from a drone, which has happened before. The embassy questions the willingness of Swedish authorities to investigate the events and protect foreign missions.

“Stockholm should realize that it is the Swedish authorities who bear full responsibility for the development of this situation,” the statement says.

Police confirm that a patrol was sent out and found red paint on the house. The incident is being investigated as vandalism. There are no suspects.
