With the ridiculous Constitutional Court verdict today, plus Apirat’s absurd ceremony worshipping a statue of King Chulalongkorn, it is clearer than ever that in the new regime of King Vajiralongkorn there will never be genuine democracy. 2/2

These remarks by army chief Apirat Kongsompong are basically a clear threat to launch another coup if Pheu Thai and/or Anakot Mai form a government after the election. Both parties are regarded as anti-monarchy by Thai royalists. 1/2
