Poland: Arms race will lead to the fall of Putin's regime

A new arms race between Russia and the West will lead to the fall of Vladimir Putin's regime, says Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski. In an interview with several media outlets, he says that Russia is heading for the same fate as the Soviet Union, which dissolved in 1991.

Sikorski believes that Putin "scares the entire Western world", which has led, among other things, to NATO member states now investing more in defense.

The communiqué published by NATO countries after the NATO summit this week states that "the long-term threat posed by Russia" is behind the alliance's new five percent target.

Zelenskyj: A divided Europe is Putin's dream

Hungary is against Ukrainian membership in the EU. This was stated by the country's Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in connection with the meeting of the Union's heads of state and government in Brussels on Thursday.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also spoke at the meeting. He stressed the importance of the EU standing united and supporting the country in the war against Russia.

In a statement on X, Zelensky said that discord on the continent plays into Russia’s hands.

“This is Putin’s dream: a fragmented Europe, where marginalized voices gain influence and speak for division and not unity,” he wrote.
