Two Dead in Attack on Gaza's Only Catholic Church
Two women have been killed and several people have been injured in an Israeli attack on Gaza's only Catholic church, doctors at a hospital told Reuters.
Priest Gabriele Romanelli, who regularly updated Pope Francis on the war, suffered minor leg injuries.
In a post on X, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni condemned Israel's attacks.
"The attacks on civilians that Israel has been carrying out for months are unacceptable. No military action can justify such behavior."

Israeli Ministers Deported from Slovenia
Slovenia has become the first EU country to ban two Israeli ministers from the country, Reuters reports. The country has decided to make far-right ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich "persona non grata."
Slovenia's government accuses its security and finance ministers of inciting violence against Palestinians and making "genocidal statements." The country has previously pushed for the EU to suspend its trade deal with Israel. Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon says the new decision was made because the EU had failed to agree on any measures.
