Trump's US Negotiations
Analysis: Donald Trump may have learned a painful lesson
After the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine failed, US President Donald Trump has taken an increasingly harsh tone towards Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
As recently as Tuesday, Trump said that "we're getting a lot of bullshit thrown at us by Putin". This may have made the American president learn a "painful lesson", says Stephen Collinson in an analytical text for CNN.
"If nothing else, Trump's dispute with Putin may serve one purpose - to open his eyes to the Russian leader's true nature", writes Collinson.
Ingmar Nevéus is on the same subject in DN:
"Does he (Trump) suddenly realize that the friendship with Putin was a chimera, that the Russian leader never had a thought of abandoning his goal of crushing Ukraine?"
Now it is up to Trump to show whose side he really stands on, says Nevéus, giving the example of a sanctions package against Russia where Republicans are awaiting the White House's announcement on whether it will be voted through.

Nigeria will not accept the 300 people that Donald Trump wants to deport from the US, reports Africa News.
- We have enough problems of our own, said Nigeria's Foreign Minister Yusuf Maitama Tuggar in an interview with Channel News on Thursday. He went on to quote a line from the American rapper Flavor Flav:
"Flavour Flav has problems of his own, I can't do nuttin' for ya man".
The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this week that African leaders are being pressured by Donald Trump to accept people who are being deported from the US.
