BREAKING: Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Governor Yuthasak Supasorn said Saturday there is no order to cancel its New Year Countdown parties as of today. The reassurance came as some government agencies have cancelled their NY parties, Khao San Road announced on Friday no countdown and Pattaya won't have its fireworks display out of respect for HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha who remain unconscious and hospitalised.

BREAKING: Five more bodies were recovered from the sea by the navy on Saturday, making the total of body recovered today alone 6. The bodies will first have to be identified and if they were that of the crews of HTMS Sukhothai, then the number of those still missing will be down to 16.
