The attack on Paul Pelosi
Film showing attack on Pelosi released by court
A US court has released a video showing the attack on former Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband Paul Pelosi last year, US media reports. The film shows how the police arrive at Pelosi's home and how Paul Pelosi and the perpetrator David DePape are both holding hammers.
When the officers then ask what is going on, DePape grabs the hammer and attacks Pelosi who is knocked over and lies down, while the officers arrest DePape.
The two-minute film is released after several media outlets demanded that it be made public after it was used as evidence during the trial against DePape.

The police chief on the brutal violence: Called for mother
The police chief in Memphis is deeply upset after the "alarming" videos she saw from police body cameras in connection with the arrest of Tire Nichols, 29, she tells CNN.
According to Police Chief Cerelyn "CJ" Davis, the five accused officers can be seen using brutal force against Nichols. In the clip, the 29-year-old can be heard calling for his mother.
- It is truly heartbreaking ... why was there no sense of care for this individual?
The footage from the police's body cameras is to be released tonight, Swedish time, and is expected to lead to demonstrations in the United States. The police officers, who have been suspended from their duties, are suspected of murder, aggravated assault and kidnapping after the incident.

The floods in New Zealand
Major flooding in New Zealand - airport closed
Violent rains in northern New Zealand have caused major flooding in the country's largest city, Auckland, several media reports. Residents in the worst affected areas have been urged to evacuate their homes and local authorities have declared a state of emergency, writes The Guardian.
Among other things, the floods have meant that the city's airport has been forced to close, which has led to extensive disruptions in the country's air traffic.
At least one person has died as a result of the floods. There is currently no forecast for when the rain will stop and Mayor Wayne Brown warns that "a terrible night" is in store for thousands of Aucklanders.

Trusted for the economy: "Lowest figure we measured"
Swedes' view of the country's economy has deteriorated significantly compared to a year ago, according to surveys from Ipsos that Dagens Nyheter refers to. The percentage describing the situation as good or very good has fallen from 70 to 35 percent.
- It is the lowest figure we have ever measured for Sweden, says Fredrik Hallberg, Ipsos Sweden manager, and believes that the turnaround can largely be linked to inflation.

Large protests against Sweden and the Koran burnings
In several Muslim countries, there were large protests directed against Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands on Friday, TT reports. This is because the high extremists Rasmus Paludan and Edwin Wagensveld burned and tore up Korans, respectively.
In Pakistan, 12,000 people demonstrated demanding that the country's government come up with an official protest. In the capital Islamabad, police had to intervene and physically stop protesters who were on their way to the Swedish embassy.
In Lebanon's capital Beirut, roughly 200 protesters burned Swedish and Dutch flags outside a mosque.
