Analysis: Ironically, few do as much as Germany
Germany is considered complacent by an otherwise relatively united Europe, writes the Washington Post's Ishaan Tharoor in an analysis. After many and long tours, the country is expected to soon approve deliveries of the German Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
He jokingly describes the holy stance as "Tanks, but no tanks". He writes that the Second World War, and the shame and guilt that followed, still today affects decision-making in the country. At the same time, the Germans have not just sat on their hands, he recalls:
"The irony is that Germany, after the United States, is one of the biggest suppliers of arms and aid to Kyiv."
In an analysis in the BBC, Chris Partridge recalls the same thing:
"In all this, it is worth remembering that Germany provides Ukraine with important air defense systems, such as Robot 98 and Patriot, as well as armored ships."
Furthermore, he writes that the Leopard 2 is a world-class tank. An important advantage is that two-thirds of the "leopards" are still in Europe, which simplifies deliveries and repairs.

Rearrangement in Ukraine - Zelensky fires close to ten top politicians and civil servants
A long line of top Ukrainian politicians was poked on Tuesday after several different corruption accusations. The notices of resignation have been replenished continuously during the day and are now approaching ten.
Among other things, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi gets rid of his deputy chief of staff, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, who is expected to be replaced by Kyiv region governor Oleksiy Kuleba. The Kyiv Independent writes.
In addition, Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Vyacheslav Shapovalov resigns following corruption allegations. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense dismisses the accusations but claims that the resignation is to maintain trust in the ministry, writes Reuters. Ukraine's Deputy Prosecutor General Oleksiy Symonenko also quits.
At lunchtime, the number of pokes increased significantly. The governors of Kyiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk regions are all allowed to leave their jobs. In addition, two top politicians from Ukraine's Ministry of Infrastructure are being poked. The deputy infrastructure minister Vasyl Lozynkij was fired already this weekend.
In his nightly speech, Zelensky promised a major reshuffle in the government, in Ukraine's regions and in the judiciary on Monday and Tuesday. According to Ukraine, this is done to make the government more efficient during wartime and fight corruption.

No decision on tanks – Ukrainian discontent simmers
Germany has not yet made a decision to send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. This is what German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius tells ZDF. At a press conference together with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, he repeats the message but also says that there is an opportunity to act quickly if the country decides to give the green light.
According to the AFP news agency, Pistorius emphasizes that there is no disagreement regarding the issue of tank support to Ukraine.
But dissatisfaction is simmering in Kyiv with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's cautious stance on the matter, reports Bloomberg. One of the advisers to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi has said that the indecision is "killing more of our people".
Jens Stoltenberg says he believes in a quick solution to the issue.
