The Russian invasion. The outside world's response
Sources: US looks to swing tanks - Germany gives Poland green light tomorrow
The United States is moving toward making a decision on supplying M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine, sources told the Wall Street Journal and Reuters.
If the White House goes ahead with such plans, it is expected to happen in an agreement with several other Western countries, where Germany partly sends its own tanks of the Leopard 2 type and partly gives its approval to other countries to send similar tanks.
According to Der Spiegel, such a decision has already been made from the German side. Bloomberg writes that on Wednesday Germany will approve Polish deliveries of the German-made tank, but will also send its own.
The WSJ describes the changed American attitude as a shift, which should have happened after a conversation between President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz a week ago.
According to the newspaper, an American announcement may come as early as this week, but no definitive decision has been made.

Pressed Scholz has made up his mind – Ukraine gets Leopard 2
Germany will send its own Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine and also allows other allies to send the German-made tanks. This is reported by Der Spiegel, which writes that Chancellor Olaf Scholz finally made the decision, even if it was not communicated officially.
According to previous media reports, on Wednesday Scholz will give formal approval to Poland, one of several countries in Europe that have said they want to send Leopard 2. Previously, Denmark, the Netherlands and Finland have been mentioned as donors, along with several others.
Information also claims that the US is considering sending tanks of the M1 Abrams type.

Sweden's NATO application
Kristersson: The most important thing is to quickly become a NATO member – actions have consequences
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson says he understands Finland's frustration with the protracted NATO process. He says that actions such as Koran burning and the Erdogan doll in Stockholm have consequences for the Swedish security situation.
- There are provocateurs who want to worsen Sweden's relations with other countries, he says at a press conference.
- No national security issue is more important than that we quickly become members of NATO.
Kristersson adds that the government's overall message is to "call for calm and reason". He hopes that Turkey and Erdogan will resume dialogue on the NATO process.
Foreign Minister Tobias Billström (M) says that you can stand up for freedom of expression and still criticize burnings.
- It is hardly crawling for Turkey.

According to CNN, the FBI is investigating how the documents ended up there, and Pence's staff will, according to the information, inform Congress on Tuesday.
Both President Joe Biden and ex-President Donald Trump have already been investigated after classified documents were found in their homes.
