Israeli threat: "Tehran will burn"

Several nuclear energy researchers are reported to have been killed in Iran.

At the same time, Israel is making new threats.

– Tehran will burn, says Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz.

According to the IDF, nine prominent researchers and experts in nuclear energy have been killed in Iran since the attacks began on Friday night.

Among them are experts in nuclear physics and nuclear technology who had "several decades of experience in developing nuclear weapons", according to the IDF.

Israel: Developed nuclear weapons for Iran

The IDF claims that the scientists were working to develop nuclear weapons for the Iranian regime.

“All the scientists and experts who were killed were key figures in the Iranian nuclear weapons program,” the IDF writes. 

On Friday, Israel announced that it had also killed several top military figures in Iran.

“Tehran will burn”

During the day, there have been new reports of explosions in Iran. One of the attacks is said to have hit an area near the Tabriz refinery in the northwest of the country, reports the Iranian news agency Mehr.

Israel is also issuing new threats against Iran. The threat comes after Iran’s retaliatory attacks against Israel on Saturday night.

Iran's threat: Do not help Israel

At the same time, Iranian military sources tell the country's state news agency Fars that the attacks on Israel will continue and that they may soon also be directed at American bases in the region, reports Reuters

Iran, for its part, is now warning Britain, France and the United States to help Israel, reports Sky News. The Iranian regime is threatening to attack the three countries' military ships and bases if they try to protect Israel from Iranian attacks.

Death toll rises

Since the attacks began, at least 146 people have been reported dead and 532 injured in Iran, according to the human rights organization HRANA.

In Israel, at least three people have died and about seventy people have been injured in Iran's response to Israel's attacks, according to Israeli media.
