China and Russia to hold new military exercises
China and Russia will hold a new joint military exercise on Russian soil this December. The Chinese Ministry of Defense announced this, Sky News reports.

Before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the countries signed a strategic partnership, in which they promised, among other things, to conduct regular joint military exercises.

US special envoy: Peace agreement very close
US special envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellogg believes that a peace agreement is very close, but that two issues need to be resolved first, Reuters reports.
Both concern territorial issues, primarily Donbas, but also the nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhia, which is under Russian control.
“If we resolve these two issues, I think the rest will work out pretty well. We are almost there,” Kellogg said on Saturday.
Kellogg has not had the same prominent role in the peace negotiations as special envoy Steve Witkoff.
Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner were in Russia this week for talks with Vladimir Putin. After the meeting, Kremlin adviser Yuri Ushakov stated that territorial issues were discussed.
In recent days, a Ukrainian delegation has also been in the United States for talks. Information from there is scarce, but President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on Saturday that he had a "constructive" phone conversation with Steve Witkoff.
