Thailand bombs Cambodia after new border fighting

Thailand has carried out several air strikes against Cambodia after new fighting broke out along the disputed border. Several military targets were attacked overnight Monday, the Thai military said.

Both sides accuse each other of violating a ceasefire that came into effect in July. Thailand's armed forces say a Thai soldier has been killed by Cambodian forces in Ubon Ratchathani province. Cambodia, for its part, says its soldiers have been attacked in Preah Vihear and Oddar Meanchey.

The Cambodian government has closed several schools in border areas on Monday.
