The EU's foreign minister: I only intend to talk about the two-state solution  

 

The humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is "worst imaginable", EU foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell said when he arrived at the EU foreign ministers' meeting in Brussels. 

 

Borrell underlined the need for the Palestinians and Israel to work towards a two-state solution. Something rejected by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. 

 

- From now on, I'm not going to talk about the peace process, I want a two-state solution process, Borrell said.  

 

He added that Israel cannot build a peace with only military means. 

 

- What are the solutions they envision? To force all Palestinians to leave? To kill them? asked the Spaniard. 

 

On the agenda for today's meeting are the wars in Gaza and Ukraine.

US confirms: Elite soldiers dead after Huthi operation  

 

Two soldiers who belong to the US special forces Navy Seals are presumed dead after disappearing at sea eleven days ago. This is written by the US military command in the Middle East, according to several media.  

 

The soldiers disappeared during an operation off the coast of Somalia, where the elite force boarded a boat and seized robotic components from Iran. The boat is said to have been on its way to the Houthi movement in Yemen.  

 

According to media reports, the soldiers are believed to have drowned.
