Houthi leader on new attack: "It only makes us stronger"
Houthi leader Mohamed Ali al-Houthi calls the United States and Great Britain "terrorist countries" after the attacks on eight different Houthi targets in Yemen, writes CNN.
"Your attacks will only make the Yemeni people stronger and more determined to confront you, because you are the aggressors against our country," he writes in a statement on X.
The leader of the Iran-backed movement adds that the Houthi militia will respond to the events and that "our people do not know how to give up."
In a statement after the new attacks, which were carried out late Monday evening Swedish time, the US Central Command writes that the attacks were carried out to make it difficult for the Houthis to continue with their "reckless and illegal attacks" against ships in the Red Sea.

Britain and the United States have carried out a new attack in Yemen
The United States and Great Britain have carried out new attacks against the Huthi rebels in Yemen in a joint effort, several media reports. It is the second time that the countries strike against the Iran-backed movement together.
According to a statement, eight targets were attacked in response to Huthi rebels' attacks on ships in the Red Sea, and it comes after US President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak spoke to each other on Monday.
The US has given the country's effort against the Huthi rebels the name "Operation Poseidon Archer". The fact that it has been given a name can be interpreted as meaning that the effort can last for a longer period of time, writes CNN.
