Tourism Authority of Thailand Deputy Governor Thanet Phetsuwan said on Tuesday he's not aware of any special VVIP services being offered to Chinese tourists which allegedly include police transfer plus police motorcycle escort, 5, 10 or 20-year visa, getting Thai driver license, opening a Thai bank account and more.

Bangkok's Bang Phlat district chief Areeya Pengprasert on Tuesday launched a four-day major cleaning operation along the sidewalk of an elevated rail track. She said walls will be built and trees planted to prevent future illegal thrash dumping.
The area is under the oversight of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT).

Fifteen old photographs of Thailand are now on display at Bangkok Arts and Culture Centre until Feb 5. One, showing a top less 15-year-old Siamese girl taken by a French photographer 160 years ago, has already been censored and removed.
