Norwegian Princess Ingrid Alexandra breaks her silence.

Now she talks about her feelings after the accusations against her brother Marius.

- It's difficult, especially for me as a sister, she tells VG.

When Princess Ingrid Alexandra turned 18, she was asked about her role models.

Then she pointed out her brothers Prince Sverre Magnus and older brother Marius.

Four years later, it sounds different.

- Mom and dad. They impress me, she tells VG.

The trial of Marius Borg Høiby, 28, will begin in a few months. He is charged with 32 counts and is suspected of four rapes, but denies the charges.

When asked how the princess feels about the trial, she says:

– It is also difficult. What he is accused of is difficult both for me, especially as a sister, and for the rest of the family. And not least of course for everyone affected by the case, she tells VG.

The princess, who herself lives in Australia, is asked what it is like to be so far away from the situation before she interrupts the interview with NRK:

– Yes, it is... I don't know if I want to go into it much more than that, she tells NRK.

Norwegian Princess Ingrid Alexandra breaks her silence about the allegations against her brother Marius Borg Høiby.

– What he is accused of is difficult both for me, especially as a sister, and for the rest of the family. And not least of course for everyone who is affected by the case, she tells the newspaper VG.

Marius Borg Høiby is the son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit from a previous relationship. He is charged with 32 crimes, including assault and four counts of rape. He has admitted to some crimes, but denied the rape charges. The trial is expected to begin in January.

When asked what she means by “especially as a sister,” she replies:

– I don’t know if I want to go into that much more.

Ingrid Alexandra also doesn’t want to comment on whether she has any contact with her brother.

The 21-year-old princess has been living and studying in Sydney since last summer. For NRK, which also met her there, she tells us that she has been able to keep a low profile.

– I feel free as a student, I definitely feel that I can be myself.
