750 million frozen in Sweden – majority linked to Putin
Around 750 million kronor are in frozen accounts in Sweden linked to people and companies on international sanctions lists. This is reported by Ekonomiekot Extra
– The number of sanctioned identities is constantly increasing, says Vidar Gothenby, a lawyer for the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, to the radio.
The frozen assets include terrorist organizations, but the majority are linked to Russian oligarchs and companies with ties to Vladimir Putin.
Airbus recall
SAS flights continue as usual after Airbus trouble
SAS states that all affected Airbus planes were updated during the night and that traffic is now flowing normally. This is reported by TT.
Airlines around the world have been forced to cancel flights with the Airbus A320 after a software bug, triggered by strong solar radiation, was identified.
The error may affect the plane's control system and EASA therefore issued an emergency airworthiness directive.
McDonald’s invests in Sweden after closures
McDonald’s has opened its 200th restaurant in Sweden, located in the Mall of Scandinavia. This marks a return to an “aggressive expansion phase” after previous closures, says establishment manager Marcus Åberg for Fastighetsnytt.
– We see that we have a good offering and are looking for solutions where we can continue to establish ourselves, he says after the opening.
The chain is expected to open seven new restaurants this year and the same number next year. Franchisor Food Folk Sverige increased its turnover to 1.56 billion kronor in 2024 and made a profit of 308 million.
