Xi warns of “law of the jungle” in meeting with Pedro Sánchez
Chinese leader Xi Jinping raised a warning finger against allowing the world to return to “law of the jungle” during a meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. This is reported by Chinese state television according to AFP.
Xi also said that Spain and China should strengthen their cooperation, as the world faces “global chaos”. The countries should therefore seize the opportunity to cooperate in trade, new energy and technology, he said.
– Both China and Spain are countries that stand up for justice, he said.
Sánchez also spoke in favor of increasing cooperation between the countries.
China and Spain can “contribute to finding solutions” to trade tensions, geopolitical difficulties and climate challenges, he said.
During a press conference, Sánchez also said that he believes China is the only key global player that can resolve the conflict in Iran and the Strait of Hormuz.
