Iran has been able to better aim when attacking American targets in the war with the help of a spy satellite from China, reports the Financial Times.

The newspaper claims to have seen secret military documents from Iran that show that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard secretly took over an advanced Chinese surveillance satellite in late 2024, after it was launched into orbit by a company in China.

In March of this year, during the war against the US and Israel, the satellite was positioned to monitor US targets at military bases in Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. The satellite took images before and after Iranian attacks.

Coordinates and images show that it has also monitored a base in Djibouti, Africa, on the Red Sea, and an airport in Oman.
