Russian envoy: EU collapse accelerated after election

Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriyev claims that the election results in Hungary will lead to what he claims is an ongoing EU collapse being accelerated.

"This will only accelerate the collapse of the EU. Check if I'm right in four months," he writes on X.

The comment comes as a response to a post in which British far-right activist Tommy Robinson writes that Hungary has "fallen" due to the election results.

On Sunday evening, several European leaders congratulated Péter Magyar after his party Tiza's victory in the Hungarian election.

“A new chapter in Hungarian history,” wrote Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson on X.
