Strike expected to paralyze German train and air traffic
Major disruptions are expected in Germany's air and train traffic when around 350,000 employees go on strike on Monday, several media write.
It is the unions EVG, which represents railway employees, and Verdi, which represents employees at airports, who are taking their members out on a one-day strike in protest against the employers' bid in the wage negotiations.
Germany's largest airport, Frankfurt, has announced that it is suspending all regular passenger traffic and the railway company Deutsche Ban has suspended all long-distance traffic.
