The Kremlin has adopted a new foreign policy that has painted the United States as the main threat to Russian security. This is reported by the Financial Times.
During Friday, Vladimir Putin told his Security Council that the update reflects "the radical changes in the outside world". At the meeting, his foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, added that Russia faced an "existential threat" from hostile states.
China, India, Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt see the Kremlin as important allies, according to political analyst Andrei Kolesnikov.
