Drone alert in the US
Drone flights to be halted for a month in New Jersey

It will be prohibited to fly drones in large parts of the state of New Jersey during the coming month. This is decided by the American aviation authority FAA, according to the New York Times.

In recent weeks, a series of reports of unknown and suspicious drones have come from states in the eastern United States, several of them from New Jersey. The FAA's drone ban is the first sweeping measure after the drone alert.

The ban means that only those who have special permission to fly drones are allowed to do so.

There have been a series of drone alerts since mid-November. Several of them have been seen at military or otherwise socially critical targets, but also at places such as Donald Trump's golf course in New Jersey. The FBI and several other authorities are investigating the drone alert, but information about them is scarce.

The new goal comes just weeks before Donald Trump takes office as the new president. During his last term, Trump left the Paris Agreement, something he has said he will do this time as well.
