Attacks on Kyiv – residents urged to seek shelter

Russia has carried out a missile attack on Kyiv on Friday morning, reports the Kyiv Independent. Several explosions have reportedly been heard in the capital.

A ballistic missile has been fired towards Kyiv from the north, writes TT. Several cruise missiles have also been observed in the airspace, according to the military. Residents are urged to seek shelter and stay there.

Kyiv has also been subjected to drone attacks during the night.
 
Anger: “Putin’s lack of respect reaches new heights”

Six embassies in Kyiv were damaged during the latest wave of Russian missile attacks. In several of the world’s capitals, anger and irritation are now growing, reports TT.

EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also expressed her outrage at the attack:

"A despicable Russian attack. Putin's lack of respect for international law reaches new heights," she wrote on X.

"Buildings swayed" during Russian attacks - six embassies damaged

Ukrainian authorities say six embassies have been damaged in connection with Russian missile attacks on Kyiv. Several media outlets are reporting this.

One person is said to have been killed in connection with the attacks and nine others injured, Bloomberg reports.

Some of the embassy buildings that are said to have been damaged are those of Portugal, Argentina, Albania and Montenegro.

- It is completely unacceptable to damage or target diplomatic buildings, says Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel to local media.

SR correspondent Lubna El-Shanti says that several witnesses to the attacks described it as "buildings swaying."
