Middle East Crisis Israel–Huthi

After the attack on Tel Aviv: US bombs targets in Yemen

On Saturday, the US attacked Yemen's Houthi-controlled capital Sana'a, AFP reports. The attack was carried out just hours after a rocket from Yemen hit a park south of the Israeli city of Tel Aviv and injured several people.

The US Central Command Centcom writes on X that the attack on Yemen was aimed at weapons depots and other military targets belonging to the Iran-backed Houthi rebels.

Since October 7 last year, the Houthi movement has repeatedly attacked Israel with rockets and drones. Israel has repeatedly responded with airstrikes on Yemen. As recently as Thursday, Israel attacked targets in Yemen after shooting down a Houthi rocket that was heading towards Israel.
