The far-right in the EU Parliament is making another attempt to oust Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

A vote of no confidence will be held in the EU Parliament next Thursday, January 22, the far-right group PFE on X announced.

The group, which includes the French National Rally and Hungarian Fidesz, is furious about the EU's planned trade agreement with the Mercosur countries in South America.

"A death sentence for our farmers and the end of our food independence," the PFE believes.

The vote will be the fourth on von der Leyen since last summer, but this time too is not expected to gather a sufficient majority to force the German and her entire commission to resign.
