Trump promises to scale back Minneapolis

Donald Trump says the situation in Minneapolis will be "scaled down a little".
The move is the latest sign that the president and his administration have changed tack after the latest shootings in the city.
Trump's comment comes in an interview with Fox News in Iowa, where he is to give a speech about the US economy on Tuesday evening.
- I don't think it's about a withdrawal but a change, he says.
The president also says that Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino, who after being the face of the controversial federal operation in Minneapolis has now been allowed to leave the city, is a "special figure".
- Bovino is very good, but he is a special figure. And that's good in some situations. Maybe it wasn't good in this case.
On Saturday, 37-year-old Alex Pretti was shot and killed by federal border police in Minneapolis. Analysis shows how Pretti approached the officers with a cell phone in his hand. There is no indication that he attempted to use the weapon he was carrying.
Earlier in January, mother of three Renee Nicole Good, also 37, was shot and killed in her car by an ICE patrol in the same city.
Both incidents have caused strong reactions in both Minneapolis and the United States at large.
