Report: Concerns about Trump's health are growing rapidly in the EU

Within the EU, concerns are growing about US President Donald Trump's increased "unpredictability," Politico writes, citing a diplomatic source. According to the source, EU representatives "at all levels" are rapidly becoming increasingly concerned about the president's health.

79-year-old Trump has denied on several occasions that he suffers from any cognitive impairment. Recently, in an interview with New York Magazine, he denied that he has Alzheimer's disease.

Several sources that Politico spoke to state that Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico, a close ally of Trump, behind closed doors has expressed concerns about Trump's mental health after a meeting between them earlier this year and said that he experienced him as "dangerous." The White House firmly denies these reports.

Sources: Robert Fico Concerned About Trump's Mental Health

One of Donald Trump's closest allies in Europe, Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico, has reportedly expressed concern about how Trump behaved during a meeting between the two earlier this year. This is reported by Politico, citing diplomatic sources from several countries.

During a meeting with other EU leaders, Fico is said to have said that he was "shocked" after the meeting, that he felt "concerned about the president's psychological state" and that he perceived Trump as "dangerous".

All sources say they do not know what the two leaders discussed that provoked Trump's reaction.

The information contradicts Fico's public portrayal of the meeting. A White House spokesman dismisses the whole thing as "total fake news from anonymous diplomats who want to appear important".
