French National Rally split over Russia
The French far-right National Rally party is split on the Russia issue ahead of next year's elections, Politico reports.

Some within the National Rally believe that Russia is a threat to France and Europe. Others, more conservative within the party, believe that the war in Ukraine is a consequence of NATO gaining more member states.
A source believes that the party's downplaying of its support for Russia has been crucial for the party's growth in opinion polls.
