US attack on Venezuela Oil market

Source: Venezuela cooperates with US regarding oil

Caracas is actively cooperating with the Trump administration regarding the export of Venezuelan oil to the US. This is what a Venezuelan government source told the FT, who believes that interim President Delcy Rodríguez is in close contact with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

– The highest priority right now is to stabilize the situation in Venezuela. For that to succeed, oil must continue to flow and money must come into Venezuela, the source says.

Yesterday, the White House announced that Venezuelan oil will continue to be exported and sold on the market for an “indefinite period”.

Survey: Pessimism about oil prices is reaching its peak

Institutional investors have the most pessimistic view of oil prices in almost 10 years. This is according to a survey from Goldman Sachs, writes Bloomberg.

Geopolitical factors such as the US's planned oil exports from Venezuela and concerns about a surplus on the market are pointed out as reasons.

According to the survey, over 59 percent of respondents were negative about the oil price. This is slightly more positive than the record low sentiment that Goldman measured during the tariff crisis in April 2025.
