Political situation in Belarus
German AfD politician hired political prisoners on onion farm
Jörg Dornau, who represents the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) in the Saxony state parliament, has used Belarusian political prisoners as labor on his onion farm in Belarus. This is reported by the independent Belarusian news site Reform.news according to Politico.
Dornau is said to have signed an agreement with the Belarusian equivalent of the Prison Service, which meant that political prisoners of the Lukashenko regime were allowed to work on his agricultural company.
One of the workers says he was sentenced to 15 days in prison for liking a post on social media. He had to work sorting onions for the equivalent of just over SEK 50 a day. He describes the working conditions as bad and that they were given neither food nor water during the day.
Dornau has not responded to the allegations. He has previously been criticized for his dealings in Belarus.

Police chief Runolfur Torhallsson specifically singles out the Kronogård network from Kronogården in Trollhättan.
- It is just one of several gangs that want to gain a foothold in this country.
