Poland's president is worried about a new Russian offensive in Ukraine
Polish President Andrzej Duda is concerned that Russia is preparing a new offensive in Ukraine in the coming months, Sky News reports.
- It is absolutely crucial that we send additional support, specifically robots and tanks, to Ukraine, says Duda during his speech at the summit in Davos.
Poland has previously expressed concern that Belarus is expected to be drawn into the war. White House security spokesman John Kirby says, according to Reuters, that the United States shares concerns about closer military cooperation between the countries, but that there are no indications that Belarus will become an active party to the war.

Details: Sweden sends armored vehicles to Ukraine - Archer decision also awaited
The government is expected to announce tomorrow that a new type of armored vehicle is to be sent to Ukraine immediately, according to information to Aftonbladet. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) and Defense Minister Pål Jonson (M) have called a press conference on "increased support" to Ukraine at 10.15 on Thursday.
Expressen reported earlier in the evening, with reference to documents on the government's website, that the government was expected to make a decision to also send the Archer artillery system. According to Aftonbladet's information, a decision to prepare such a delivery will be made. However, the delivery as such is said to be a bit ahead of time.
Ukraine has previously asked Sweden specifically for Archer. Before the election, Ulf Kristersson directed harsh criticism at the then government for not sending the system. He has subsequently himself received criticism for delaying the decision even after the new government took office.

Ukraine wants tanks - the pressure is increasing on Scholz
Pressure on Germany to send or allow German-made tanks to be sent to Ukraine is increasing. But when the country's Chancellor Olaf Scholz was asked about this at the World Economic Forum in Davos, he avoided answering, writes The Guardian.
Instead, Scholz underlined that Germany is already one of the countries that sends the most support to Ukraine, both humanitarian and military.
- Ukraine can count on support from Germany, but we must avoid this developing into a war between Russia and NATO, said Scholz.
Shortly after Scholz's speech, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy participated via link. In his speech, he emphasized the need for tanks.
- The delivery of tanks must be faster than Russia's attacks, he said.
