Macron's government survived a unanimous no-confidence vote
France's government passed the no-confidence vote in the National Assembly with the numbers 287 to 278, Reuters reports.
The distrust was raised by three opposition parties because the government wants to push through an unpopular pension reform that raises the retirement age from 62 to 64 years.
Another vote of no confidence had been raised by the far-right party National Gathering, but does not go to a vote because the other parties have already said that they do not intend to vote for it.
Violent protests against the planned pension reform have shaken France in recent days and the unions have promised to continue the strike, writes The Guardian.
Several of Macron's representatives have tried to change the French pension system, and each time it has led to millions of protests, according to TT. Since the death of Mahsa Amini in October 2022, people have demonstrated around the world against the regime's abuse of human rights.

New EU sanctions against Iran for human rights violations
Judges who handed down the death penalty to protesters and politicians in the country's highest decision-making council are being sanctioned by the EU in the sixth package of sanctions against the country introduced on Monday, AP reports.
Eight people and one organization are punished with frozen assets and travel bans for "serious violations of human rights", the EU writes in its decision, and specifically mentions the restrictions on girls' and women's right to personal freedom and education.
Britain also decided to target financiers behind Iran's Revolutionary Guard IRGC, Sky News reports.
The EU Parliament has voted to label the Guard, which is used to put down popular protests, as a terrorist, according to SVT, but the EU's Council of Ministers has not yet given its approval.
