On Tuesday, Zelensky dismissed several high-ranking employees of the Ukrainian security service. This is reported by the Ukrainian television channel TCH.
In total, it will be about five employees with high positions, including the deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine, the head of the department in charge of financial support to the security service and the head of the security service of the Zaporizhzhya region.
Zelenskyi has also appointed two people as replacements.
According to TCH, the dismissals are part of the "great purge" within the Ukrainian state structure that affects the security services as well as state customs officials, the Ministry of Defense, state tax authorities and the police.

Expert: Bachmut is likely to fall within two weeks
The probability is high that the city of Bachmut in eastern Ukraine will fall within 14 days. That's
what Johan Huovinen, lieutenant colonel and teacher of military
strategy at the Norwegian Defense Academy, told DN, since the ISW think
tank wrote in its latest analysis that a Ukrainian retreat from the city
seems to be getting closer.
But Huovinen believes that the city falling into Russia's hands will probably have no decisive strategic significance.
- It is more of an important point to show that the Ukrainian side has not backed down. It will rather be a signal value to the Western world that Ukraine needs more help, he says.
Earlier on Monday, Ukrainian President Zelensky stated that the defense of Bachmut should be strengthened, writes Reuters.

Expert: Allies increasingly focused on negotiation
Ukraine's
allies in the West seem increasingly focused on the need for a
negotiated solution to end the war, says Magnus Christensson, lecturer
in military science, in SVT's Agenda.
He
mentions, among other things, French President Emmanuel Macron, the
US's highest-ranking military officer Mark Milley and discussions at the
security conference in Munich.
Peace
researcher Frida Stranne also highlights the fact that Ukraine cannot
expect the same support from the United States in the event of a
Republican victory in the next presidential election.
The
united front in the West and the support for the Ukrainian army means a
favorable negotiating position for Ukraine, she says.
- That puts them in a very good situation.
