USA: Iran has taken control of oil tankers  

According to the US, Iran has seized a Marshall Islands-flagged oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman. This is stated by the US Navy.  

The vessel, named Advantage Sweet, was last in Kuwait and is on its way to Houston, Texas. The US says the crew raised the alarm that Iran was taking over the ship while it was in international waters.  

Iran claims, according to Reuters, that an "unknown vessel" was seized after it collided with an Iranian vessel. In a statement, the army says two people from the crew are missing after the collision.
