US sends nuclear submarines to South Korea
The US is to send nuclear submarines to South Korea for the first time in decades, NBC News reports. This as a commitment to defend South Korea against North Korea's increasing nuclear threat.
South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol is on a state visit to US President Joe Biden where the parties will renew their promise that US nuclear weapons will be sent to South Korea if North Korea were to carry out a nuclear attack.
The new agreement will be signed in Washington during the day.

Donors rally behind Biden after campaign announcement
Wealthy political donors have lined up to show their support for President Joe Biden since he officially announced his re-election campaign yesterday. This is reported by CNBC.
Among other things, Linkedin founder Reid Hoffman has offered to organize events to collect money for Biden's campaign.
Media mogul Haim Saban also supports Biden and writes in an email to CNBC that he "will do everything in my power to get President Biden re-elected to a well-deserved second term".
Philanthropist George Soros' son Alexander Soros writes in a post on Twitter that he stands behind Biden.
